Dr. Jacobson testifies in Capitol Records v. Thomas-Rasset

The first plaintiff witness Tuesday morning is Dr. Doug Jacobson.

He has so far testified about his qualifications, and was admitted as an expert without objection from defendants.

He has testified about the workings of peer-to-peer and KaZaA. He has gone on to state his opinion that based on the evidence he was asked to examine Ms. Thomas' computer was used to distribute sound recordings to MediaSentry.

He testified that he had no concerns about the accuracy of the MediaSentry or Charter evidence.

We are in a short recess while copies are made of a timeline of events he performed for all counsel. He will testify about his forensic examination of defendants hard drive after the recess.

[Ed. note. I am surprised that Dr. Jacobson was not challenged. -R.B.]

Looks like RIAA might have major problems. DJ discloses at trial that he has evidence of a 2nd hard drive hooked to the machine. Not disclosed to defense. (via SemiAccurate tweets)
